Getting a good night's sleep becomes even more important as we age. Sleep helps us stay healthy, both physically and mentally. It boosts our immune system, improves our mood and helps us think clearly. But for many seniors, getting enough sleep can be a challenge. 

There are many things you can do to improve your sleep habits and get the rest you need. Here are some tips:

Create a Sleep-Friendly Environment
Make your bedroom dark, quiet and cool. This will help your body produce melatonin, a hormone that makes you sleepy. Use blackout curtains or earplugs to block out light and sound. Keep the temperature in your bedroom comfortable.

Invest in a comfortable mattress and pillows. Your mattress and pillows should be supportive and should not cause you any pain. If you're not sure what to buy, ask an expert for recommendations on what kind of mattress you should use.

Keep your bedroom organised. A disorganised bedroom can be stressful and make it harder to relax.

Develop a Relaxing Bedtime Routine
